Demodectic Mange

I had a hound with some issues with demodectic mange, and my Vet said Simparica was the easiest way to treat it along with antibacterial and anti-fungus shampoo.

The hound no longer has symptoms, but I am still giving one Simparica a month.

The information at the link also has some good information that I thought worth sharing.

Simparica is a prescription medicine, but can be bought without prescription from https://www.vetnpetdirect.com.au/

I hope this is helpful to someone.

My Vet says Demodectic mange, if scrapes show the mites are all over the dog that it is genetic, and the litter mates as well as Mom and Dad should never be bred.
I believe that because many litters never have any mange symptoms at all that it is gemetic. But I have seen all kinds of arguments made that it is not, etc.
Thoughts by anyone?
